Welcome to Shayil Home – a year-long, residential addiction program for women and their children. We are a faith-based program that uses a multi-theoretical approach to addiction. We seek healing for the whole person – physically, emotionally, and spiritually. This holistic approach includes addiction & theology classes, a gym membership, trauma-informed yoga, art and equine therapy, professional CBT counseling, church attendance and Bible study, and connections to indigenous elders and culture.

Shayil Home strives to rebuild lives, restore relationships, and impact communities one life at a time. We believe God created us for life, and life to the full. St. Irenaeus once said, “The glory of God is a human being fully alive.” Our desire is that every woman who enters Shayil Home would leave fully alive.

After graduating from our year-long program, students can stay for an additional year through our 2nd stage program: Proverbs 31. Our P31 program shifts the focus from personal healing and recovery to skill building, independence, and reintegration into the community. The P31 program has three vocational streams to choose from: education, work, and church ministry.

All applicants must be comfortable with the following:

  • A non-smoking program
  • No medical-assisted therapy (eg. methadone or suboxone)
  • Faith-based programming
